The Solomon Islands Office of the Auditor-General welcomed officials from the Audit Office of New South Wales, Australia to Solomon Islands.
The Auditor General, Peter Lokay, has publicly released the Office of Auditor General Report covering audits performed during 2014, 2015 and 2016 financial years and on its operations for those years. The report was presented to the Speaker of the 10th Parliament on 8 December 2016 for distribution to Members.
The Acting Auditor General of Solomon Islands, Robert Cohen says the country’s financial system is still very weak because often the Auditor General’s Office would issue Disclaimer opinions on financial reports and records.
