In addition to the various Reports of the Auditor General and the Public Accounts Committee tabled in the Solomon Islands Parliament from time to time and available under that Section of this website, the Office of Auditor General also publishes other key documents available for public usage. The following recent publications are provided.

  • Office of the Auditor General Annual Reports 2002-2006 – 4th July 2007

This report was the first Annual Report prepared by OAG for over twenty years and provides a reflection on the re-establishment of the OAG as a viable Supreme Audit Institution following the arrival of the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands under the Accountability Institutions initiative. The five years under review were turbulent times and enabled a foundation to be set for the future direction of the OAG.

  • OAG Strategic Audit Plan 2008-2012 – 28th November 2007

The OAG Strategic Audit Plan outlines how OAG will meet its statutory responsibilities as outlined in the Constitution and the Public Finance and Audit Act 1978. It contains the office’s medium term goals and strategies that will set the direction over the next four years. The Plan also outlines the OAG Tactical Audit Plan for 2008.

This report summarised the results of a most successful year witnessing a significant catch up on the backlog of outstanding accounts at the National and Provincial Government level. In addition the report outlines the significant training and capacity development during that year and the development of the OAG skills development framework.
